Zhang, who was rescued on May 14 after being trapped for more than two days in a collapsed building in Dujiangyan, in Sichuan province, gave birth to a 3.3 kilogram girl Wednesday. The baby was named Ai, or love, in honor of the rescue workers and strangers who have showered Zhang with kindness, gifts, and VIP treatment in the month since she was pulled out of the debris.
